Each of our Anniversary Beers is akin to a historical marker for our company and a growth marker for our brewery. They speak to a variation on a theme that's been at the forefront of the brew team's mind throughout the year. Our unanimous favorite new brand of 2020 was Yore, our take on the sessionable 10 Plato Czech-style Pilsner. The dichotomy of being a crisp and light yet full bodied lager catapulted Yore to winning status in our burgeoning portfolio. So for those of you who've been riding with us all along, it should be no surprise that we present you with a foudre-fermented Czech-style lager as this year's anniversary beer.
Undone is essentially the foudre fermented version of Yore. It's brewed entirely with Czech ingredients and hopped with 100% Late Czech Saaz, named so because it's left on the hop bine (bine= vine) longer to enhance its citrus character. Foudre fermentation enhances the fuller notes of this beer with subtle elements of toasted marshmallow, resulting in a creamier lager.
Needless to say, if you love Vliet, Kicking & Screaming, Yore, or our lagers in general, this is one not to miss. 2020 was a rough one, so let's seize this small moment to celebrate. Cheers.
